As part of the Science, Health, & Engineering Policy and Diplomacy Initiative at the University of Arizona – the Science Policy & Diplomacy Speakers Series occurs each Fall and is comprised of presentations from world renowned experts in the field of science policy and diplomacy. The series is an opportunity for scholars, scientists, policy-makers, and students interested in the field of science policy and diplomacy to learn what this area of study entails.
The 2024 Distinguished Speaker Series involves ten speakers (below) who will share perspectives from 19 September through 5 December 2024. Following on the 2023 Distinguished Speaker Series, Professor Paul Arthur Berkman was invited to give the inaugural lecture on 19 September 2024 regarding The Role of Science Diplomacy in Contributing to the International Legal Order Based on the Charter of the United Nations.
