The Arctic Science Diplomacy: The Next Generation session at the Arctic Circle Assembly 2023 in Reykjavik, Iceland, was co-convened on 20 October 2023 by the Science Diplomacy Center™ and the Alfred Wegener Institute. This session involved a panel-audience dialogue with next-generation science diplomats (please see attachment). The goal of this session is to inspire next-generation leadership with informed decisionmaking about governance mechanisms and built infrastructure as well as their coupling for sustainable development in the Arctic short-to-long term. Implications of science diplomacy in the Arctic are relevant from security to sustainability time scales for the benefit of all on Earth across generations.
